Seychelles has received The Best Island Travel Destination award from Best Travel Media – one of the most influential tourism industrial media in China.

The 10th China Outbound Travel award ceremony was held at the Beijing Regent Hotel on December 16 and was attended by the President of the China Tourism Academy, Dai Bin, and other heads of tourism agencies. Seychelles Tourism Board’s Senior Marketing Executive in China, Li Huanhuan, received the award from Best Travel Media.

Seychelles is the only island state which received The Best Island Travel Destination award. It is the only award given to island destinations.

The China Outbound Travel award ceremony is seen as the most influential one in the tourism circle of this country which is dedicated to tourism data, media, conferences, and exhibitions as well as training . The award list is generated by voting from China and overseas tourism agencies such as tour operators, tourism boards, airlines, cruises, as well as many other people who work in the tourism sectors.

A total of 19 awards were given during the event. The China Outbound Travel award ceremony will also be held in Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Speaking after receiving the award, Mr. Li expressed words of thanks to Best Travel Media for organizing this meaningful event as it gives people the chance to know more about Seychelles. “Thank you for your valuable voting. I also would like to thank my colleague, Jean Luc Lai Lam, the Regional Manager of the Seychelles Tourism Board who is based in China, as well as my other superiors and colleagues from our headquarters and trade partners from Seychelles, and last but not the least the partners from China,” he said.
